Cooking classes for Children

1 Day Cooking Studio

"Sapori della Cucina Povera del Chianti"
Do you want to learn a different way of cooking this time? Do you want to go food shopping with "Gusto" casually learning some Italian too? Do you then want to cook, eat and drink together with your new found friends? Maybe you even want to go looking for some of the ingredients to the various dishes yourself in the surrounding woods and brush. If so, you have come to the right place!

Our salad of wild herbs

Together we will choose a simple, Tuscan farmers meal. We will then go shopping (if so wanted) or "looking" for the ingredients of our menu. This could mean a walk in the surrounding meadows and brush in search of wild green asparagus, field salads as well as herbs (in the spring, autum and winter time). We could also go on a "hunt" for wild mushrooms (in autum). You choose!

Then we will prepare, cook, taste, eat, drink and hopefully laugh a lot together.

We are offering you courses for professionals but also a friendly cooking session together with a few others (max. 8 people) like you may have at home. I - Ulrike Eder - am not claiming to be an expert by all means - but the judgement of many of my guests and friends as well as of your own taste buds (if you have already tasted my welcome dinner) speak for themselves and will hopefully convince you.

Cinghiale in Agrodolce - wild boar in a "sweetsour" redwine and plums gravy (Medici recipe)

 

Agnello in Salsa di Vino Bianco e Pomodore - milk lamb in white wine & tomatoe sauce

  Coniglio alla Cacciatora -rabbit "hunters style" (white wine & black olives)
  Piccione alle Erbe - pigeon in white wine & herbs
  Pollo al Limone - the original chicken in lemon sauce
  Salsicce e Fagioli -pork sausages with beans

  Spinaci Saltati - spinach with garlic, raisins and pine seeds
